Our busy bees are happy and healthy. It’s not just the queen bees that are treated like royalty; our strict processes are in the best interests of all our bees.

100% pure NZ honey

All our honey is made in New Zealand. Most of our honey is collected from Bay of Plenty farms and forests, and our Manuka honey is harvested in Awakino, near Waikato.

Our Story

Little Hands Honey is made with care by beekeeper Virgil and his wife Carmen, with the help of their children’s little hands. And, of course, hives of busy bees.

The family’s honey-making journey took flight in 2020 when Little Hands Honey became well-known at the local Papamoa Farmers’ Market. The Bay of Plenty family is passionate about bringing pure New Zealand honey to Kiwi families in a sustainable way and at accessible prices.

We go through vast quantities of honey at our house and Little Hands make the best liquid honey! I buy their honey for my family and we all love it. My daughters particularly love the Bush Blend and the Tawari honey, both liquid. It tastes amazing poured over yogurt, weetbix, blended into smoothies or by itself on toast. I first tried little hands honey a few months ago. Our family favorite is the Infused Vanilla. Its great to have a teaspoon a day or on toast for breakfast. My kids believe its the best honey they've ever tasted and I have to agree.
